Daecheongho Obaengni-gil (Daecheong Lake Trail)
If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway into nature, Daecheongho Obaengni-gil is a scenic walking and biking trail that winds along the shores of Daecheong Lake. “Obaengni” means 500-ri (approximately 200 km), referencing the network of trails surrounding the lake. The path offers gentle slopes, forested views, and picturesque waterside scenery. Especially popular in the spring and fall, it’s an ideal place to relax, recharge, and enjoy Korea’s natural beauty.
Jangtaesan Recreational Forest
Jangtaesan is a rare metasequoia forest in Korea, offering lush walking trails, wooden footbridges, and treehouse-style observation decks. The park is well-known for its peaceful atmosphere, fresh air, and family-friendly hiking paths. The elevated Sky Tower walk provides panoramic views of the forest canopy, especially stunning in autumn. It’s a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll or a quiet moment immersed in nature.
Gyejoksan Mountain Red Clay Trail
This unique hiking trail is famous for its therapeutic red clay path—best enjoyed barefoot. The soft clay is said to stimulate circulation and promote relaxation as you walk. Surrounded by pine forests and offering city views from the summit, the trail is both health-boosting and scenic. Gyejoksan is particularly popular during the warmer months and hosts a barefoot walking festival each spring.
